Timesheet Submission Audits

A key DTA responsibility is ensuring all timesheets are submitted and approved within TRS deadlines and processed in accordance with the UCPath payroll processing calendar. To assist in meeting this goal, Central Time Administration will be emailing you lists of timesheets in various statuses requiring action. Below is an example of what you might receive:

Reporting Protected Sick Leave in TRS

Eligible employees are now able to select the “Sick Protected (Non FML)” TRS time entry code directly from the drop-down menu (see below) when entering time. TRS was also updated so that time codes are grouped together for user convenience and visibility.

Now Available: Auto-Assign Supervisors and Create Default Work Schedule

The auto-assign feature leverages UCPath employee job data to automatically assign the primary and back-up supervisors for employees in TRS.

The standard TRS system email notifications have been enhanced (see screenshots) to list the auto assigned supervisors or provide a link to manually assign supervisors as appropriate.

Departments will now have the option to allow TRS to automatically create a standard 40-hour work week; Mon-Fri 8AM-5PM (1 hour lunch break) schedule for all new assignments. Please note that all new assignments will be set up with the default schedule if this option is selected.

TRS Updated with Effective Dated Tracking of UCPath Short Work Break Status

TRS was recently updated so that when an employee transitions between UCPath HR statuses (Active, Short Work Break, Terminated, and back to Active), TRS will correctly disable and re-enable timesheet creation and notifications accordingly with the status dates.

Going forward, you will be able to place employees on short work break for the summer session and, at the same, time enter the transaction to return them to a position in the Fall session.
