Holiday Pay Calculation
TRS uses the following logic to determine holiday pay hours for employees.
Monthly employees receive holiday pay pro-rated to their FTE (full time equivalent) status from UCPath (i.e. – an active at an FTE of 100% will receive 8 hours of holiday pay while an active employee at an FTE of 50% will receive 4 hours of holiday pay. Holiday pay is calculated by UCPath.
Active status, full time (FTE=100%) biweekly, hourly, non-exempt employees will receive 8 hours of holiday pay. TRS will calculate holiday pay for active part-time (FTE<100%) biweekly, hourly, non-exempt employees as noted below.

A quadriweekly cycle is defined as the two biweekly pay periods (4 weeks) immediately preceding the biweekly pay period when the holiday occurs.
Holiday hours paid for a part-time, non-exempt employee are based on the number of hours on pay status and the number of holidays in the quadriweekly cycle according to the Holiday Pay Table (below).
