Welcoming Our New Associate Controller

Dear colleagues:

I am pleased to announce the appointment of Sheralin Klinthong as our new Associate Controller in Accounting & Fiscal Services. Sheralin officially started in her new role last week. In this important leadership position, Sheralin will help guide our organization and serve as a key strategic partner for the campus financial community. Sheralin will also assist me with managing our large organization – the Accounts Payable, Financial Management Support, Financial Cost Analysis, and General Accounting teams will all report to her.

Sheralin comes to us from the California State University, Office of the Chancellor where she was Director of Financial Reporting and Review. Sheralin played a key role in managing the accounting and financial reporting of the entire CSU system, providing leadership in the design, analysis, and implementation of comprehensive financial reporting processes and related reporting compliance.

Prior to working for the CSU, Sheralin was a Senior Audit Manager for KPMG where she led projects to define audit strategies including planning, risk management, development of audit approaches, and audit reporting. She is a certified public accountant and completed the CSU Leadership Development Program.
