Register Now for Fiscal Close Workshops
Registration is now open for the Accounting Department’s upcoming Fiscal Year-End Close Workshops! As in previous years, Accounting & Fiscal Services will offer fiscal year-end close workshops in May. This year, both workshops will be hosted on Zoom.
Attendees will learn all phases of accounting necessary for an effective fiscal close. Instructions reviewed will directly relate to fiscal close – financial and budget documents, key dates, overdrafts, encumbrances, and accruals and deferrals. There are two identical workshop sessions scheduled for May:
Session | Date | Time | Location |
Fiscal Closing Workshop - 20240513 | Tuesday, May 13 | 10 a.m. – noon | Click Here to Register |
Fiscal Closing Workshop - 20240515 | Thursday, May 15 | 1:30 – 3:30 p.m. | Click Here to Register |
Register on UC Learning Center
Registration is required to attend. To sign up for one of the sessions detailed above, click the registration link in the box above. You will be taken to the class on the UC Learning Center (UCLC) website. You can also search for "fiscal closing" using UCLC’s search function.
New Attendees: Those who are new to signing up for workshops will see both sessions offered upon searching and selecting the “Fiscal Closing Workshop” in UCLC. You should only register for one session.
Returning Attendees: If you have attended a Fiscal Closing Workshop in a prior year, you may see workshop sessions from the past instead of the current lineup of dates. To see the 2025 workshop dates, click “Register Again” in UCLC to view and choose from this year’s upcoming workshop sessions. If you do not see any button, try clicking the three dots (more actions) menu in the top right corner of the course screen and select “Register.”
This workshop is offered each year, and most financial system users are encouraged to attend each year to learn about each year's deadlines and activities. You should only sign up for one of the two sessions.
