The Kuali Financial System (KFS) will go offline for a scheduled database migration starting at 5 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 14. This maintenance will continue most of President’s Day weekend, and employees will be unable to access the campus financial system during this time. The KFS Team expects the migration will be completed by the end of the day on Monday, Feb. 17.

Required Action
During the maintenance, users will be unable to access KFS in any way. Departments should plan to complete any critical work in KFS before 5 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 14. Users will be unable to initiate, save, approve, or otherwise take action on KFS documents during the maintenance. Users will also be unable to complete actions like creating TEM profiles during this time.
- Impact on Reporting: KFS Data Warehouse reports will be accessible during the weekend, but they will only reflect data up to Feb. 13. For the most up to date news on Data Warehouse, subscribe to their mailing list using Google Groups: https://groups.google.com/a/uci.edu/g/uci-dwh.
- Impact on Other Systems: Users should be on the lookout for communications about other related systems that might be affected. If you are the owner of an application that feeds data to KFS, please coordinate with the KFS Team to see if any action is required.
After Maintenance is Complete
We expect this update will have minimal impact on the KFS user experience. This is a backend database change only. No changes are being made to the user interface, routing, or workflow in KFS.
If you have any questions or concerns about this maintenance, please contact the KFS Help Desk at kfs@uci.edu.
