Starting Jan. 1, 2020, UCI will no longer print or distribute paper paychecks or pay statements on campus. Paper paychecks will instead be mailed to home addresses from a bank the day before payday and may take several days to arrive. This change is being implemented at all UCs as they transition to UCPath, the new systemwide payroll, benefits, and HR system. Additionally, printed pay statements reflecting direct deposits will no longer be available. Employees will be able to view pay statements online through the UCPath online portal.
If you have faculty members, staff, or student workers who are receiving paper paychecks in your department, encourage them to do the following:
- Sign up for Direct Deposit: Enrolling in direct deposit before Nov. 15 will ensure immediate access to earnings on payday starting in January.
- Update their Home Address: Employees who wish to continue to receive paper checks should verify their home address on At Your Service Online to ensure paychecks will be mailed to the correct address.
