Creating a TEM Profile in the Kuali Financial System

All travel and entertainment reimbursements are processed through UCI's Kuali Financial System, and if you want to be reimbursed, you will need to create a TEM (Travel and Event Management) Profile. It's not difficult and only takes a few minutes.

Video: Creating Your TEM Profile

The following video will walk you through the steps. Start by going to the Finances/KFS tab in Zotportal and follow the steps in this video:

Tip: Portlets on Zotportal can be moved around and customized, so you might need to look for "KFS Travel and Event Management" in a different column than is shown in the video.

Step-by-Step: Creating Your TEM Profile

Step 1: Access the TEM Profile Lookup feature

  • Start by going to the Finances/KFS tab in Zotportal.
  • Locate the Travel & Entertainment Management portlet.
  • Expand the TEM Profile section and then select the TEM Profile Lookup link.

Step 2: Create the TEM Profile

  • On this new screen, press the Create New Profile button in the upper right-hand corner.

NOTE: If you do not see this button in the upper-right hand corner, that means your profile already exists and there is nothing you need to do. You can skip the next step.

Step 3: Submit your request to create the profile

  • On the final page, simply scroll down and press Submit to create your profile.

If you would like to give someone else access to your TEM profile so that they can create reimbursement documents for you, we have instructions on how to Add an Arranger.

By default, at least one person in your organization has access to create reimbursements for everyone else in your group. (This person is called a TEM Org Profile Arranger in KFS.). For this reason, adding another individual Arranger is optional.

For more information , we have a guide on how TEM Profiles and TEM Arrangers work.
