Beta Testing Notice of Project Expiration Messages

Beginning on Oct. 1, the Contracts & Grants Accounting and Financial Management Support teams will begin beta testing a new automated Notice of Project Expiration message. These messages – which will initially be generated only for National Institutes of Health (NIH) awards before being expanded to include all awards – will be sent to Principal Investigators and Fiscal Officers listed on the primary expense accounts. The messages will be sent 60 days before the end date of the award and come from the CGA accountant responsible for the award. These notifications will show the balances as of the last closed fiscal period and will include helpful tips if the project is scheduled to end, as well as information for when the PI is expecting an extension or a continuation.
