Payroll Certification System (PCS) Moving to KFS

Sent to a Custom Mailing List on Aug. 15, 2016

Dear Finance and Contract and Grant Directors,

We have some exciting news about the Payroll Certification System (PCS). The Office of Information Technology (OIT) and Accounting and Fiscal Services have worked together to move PCS into the Kuali Financial System (KFS). This means that PCS will no longer use a paper-based certification format. The look and feel of KFS-PCS will be very much the same as it is now. The structure of the data on the paper-based form has been transitioned into KFS. Features include:

  • The ability to preview the PCS document to verify accuracy/completeness,
  • Document routing,
  • Electronic certification,
  • And more!

Training sessions will be scheduled for October 2016 and an announcement will be sent with the dates/times. Enrollment for the sessions will take place via the UC Learning Center (information and links will be sent via email after the sessions). We hope you will be as excited about this as we are!

The Roll-Out of KFS-PCS will take place in early November 2016.

Please forward or disseminate this information to all individuals within your school, center, and department that are responsible for sponsored award management.
