New Automated Service for Verification of Employment and Income

Sent to all Campus and Medical Center employees by Zotmail on March 29, 2016

Dear Colleagues:

I am pleased to announce a new service that will improve the employment and income verification process for the entire UCI community. As part of the University of California's UCPath project, UCI will now use a secure automated service called "The Work Number" to provide verifications of employment and income starting on Friday, April 1.

The Work Number provides verification services to more than 50 million employees and is widely known to mortgage lenders, banks, apartment complexes, and others who may need proof of your employment or income. The service is easy to use and available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week both online and by phone. Student workers are excluded from this verification service and should continue to contact the UCI Payroll Office for any employment and income verifications.

Click here for instructions on how to use The Work Number.

With the adoption of this service, the Payroll Office will no longer accept new requests for employment and income verification effective April 1. All verification requests received after this date, including those sent by mail, fax, email or any other channel, should be replied to with instructions for using The Work Number. Questions about this announcement can be directed to Nabila Khalil or Chris Hernandez in the Payroll Office.
