Kuali Financial System has New Features to Help You Search Smarter

Sent to KFS-Update mailing list on November 24, 2014

The KFS Kuali Financial System: The enterprise financial software that is used to process all financial transactions at UCI and other schools. team implemented several new updates recently that make searching for documents easier than ever. These new tools are already active and ready for you to use today!

See recent document searches or save your own custom searches

The team has added a new Name this search field to the Custom Document Search window. This field allows you to save your custom document searches. Type in a name before hitting the search button, and it will be saved. You can then access these searches from a drop-down menu in the top-right corner of the search window. Your five most recent searches are also always stored in this drop-down menu.

Find out if disbursement voucher (DV) and travel and event management (TEM) backup documents have been scanned more easily

You can now search for documents according to whether or not they’ve been scanned. To do this you simply toggle the buttons in the new Scanned? field in the Custom Document Search window for DV, travel reimbursement (TR), travel authorization (TA), entertainment reimbursement (ENT), and moving and relocation reimbursement (RELO) documents.

Similarly, you can now search for documents that are “enroute.” These are documents that haven’t been finalized and are still going through the workflow process. After selecting Detailed Search at the top of the window, use the Route Status box to search for Enroute documents.
